Number Card Tutorial

I made this number card for my dad's 60th birthday using the Tell My Story 123 kit by Toucan Scraps.

Creating the shaped number card is fairly simple, and I'm going to show you how in this tutorial today.

First set-up a page in your software (any graphics, photo editing or word publishing package should be fine) the size you are going to print on (American Letter - 8.5 x 11, or International A4)

Place the 2 number fronts from the Tell My Story 123 kit that you want to use on the page. Align them next to each other in the centre of the page. For me a 6 and a 0

cutout using a paper trimmer straight along the 4 edges - don't cut around the shaped bit yet.

Stick the 2 pieces together back to back with glue stick or spray adhesive with a small overlap at the shaped ends.

Allow to dry

Cut out the shaped sections

Using a ruler, measure the distance between the inside edge of the back number (0 for me) and the outside edge of the top number (6 for me). Mark the centre point with a pencil.

Score and fold along this "centre" line.

Now your impressive shaped card is ready to decorate and personalise in any way you wish.

Spinner Tutorial

Hello everyone, today I'm going to show you how I attached a spinner disk onto the front of this card. If you have a go, please post me a link so I can come and admire your card or other project with a spinner.

For this card I used an old digi stamp by Robyn's Fetish and the new Rainbow Bumper Digi Paper Pack by Toucan Scraps.

First I prepared the card base.
And then the disk that I want to add.

Next I punched a hole into the card where the centre of the spinner was to go, and fixed an eyelet into the hole. The top of the eyelet is on the inside of the card (not the front).

Then I posted a brad through a large sequin (you could use a small card circle etc).

Then I stuck it to the centre back of the spinner disk. To make it extra secure I used glue then added sticky tape on top.

I assembled the spinner by placing the brad through the eyelet and folding the brad stems over.
